My recommendation for a budget 6x9 folder is an east-german Ercona (virtually identical with the Ikonta) with a CZJ coated Tessar lens. I made shots with a three-element Meyer Trioplan lens (one of the better ones) and compared them to shots with a CZJ post war Tessar lens. Most older three-lens element designs give nice results when stopped down to f/8 or so but not all give excellent results. At least they don't seem to have leaking bellows like the Agfa Billy Record. Build quality is good but not better than most other german 6x9 folders - a 6x9 Ikonta is clearly superior. There is nothing special to say about them.
